Thanks for stopping by!
I am a young public relations professional working as an associate at Hill+Knowlton Strategies in Chicago, IL.
I joined H+K upon graduating from DePaul University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations and Advertising.
On a day-to-day basis, I work with major brands such as Aflac, Angostura Bitters and Chick-fil-A. I am responsible for interacting with media, gaining corporate attention and making brands prevalent in the public eye.
I also have an extensive background in leadership. Throughout my time as a student at DePaul University, I held several student leadership positions, such as new student orientation leader, campus tour guide, welcome week coordinator and DePaul student ambassadors marketing coordinator.
In addition to the above positions, I served on the management team of DemonTHON, DePaul's 24-hour Dance Marathon benefitting Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, my junior and senior year. Each year, the management team of four people grew the event, ultimately raising $276,261.50 for the hospital in 2017.
Prior to entering the workforce on a full-time basis, I held several internships as a student. My first internship was at Margie Korshak, Inc., a boutique firm in Chicago. During the internship, I learned the craft of public relations, from drafting a media list to hitting "send" on a pitch. The following summer, while going into Margie Korshak during the day, I worked remotely in the evening for Dobro communications, another boutique PR firm. Here, I had the opportunity to grow my brand strategy, creating crisis communications plans for major companies.
Outside of the agency space, I also interned at the DePaul Univesity Office of Public Relations and Communications, where I worked on the university's brand. In addition to establishing stories about the university brand for the media, I managed the social media of a TEDx Event, which honed my skills in the social space.
When I am not working, you can find me eating Portillo's, cheering on the Chicago White Sox, or learning about mixology during my time as a weekend bartender for Broadway in Chicago Theatres. I love trying new things and traveling, and believe that stepping outside of your comfort zone is the best way to learn about yourself. So far in life, I have skydived over Illinois, gone white water rafting in Colorado, and experienced deep sea fishing in Mexico. I cannot wait to see where life takes me next.
